Great article Zoe. Good to have you working with the Chamber. I fully agree with you even the things that seem to be horrible usually happen for a reason. It is how you deal with the stresses and learning from them and reflecting that makes you a stronger and better person. Great job, I look forward to meeting you sometime. What do you plan on doing after your internship?

Zoe,

I met your mother when she was soliciting our banking business. I decided to recommend US Bank largely based on how well Lily’s customers spoke of her. It was only a month or two later she informed me she was moving to Chase. Although disappointed, I do wish her well with Chase.

After getting to know your mother it is clear that she passed on the “glass is half full” view of life to her children. Life is full of opportunities if we choose to see them and you obviously do. I do believe we have the ability to make our own “luck” through attitude and hard work. Best of “luck” to you in all your future endeavors.

Your enthusiasm in contagious and it’s important for all of us to remember that whatever path we choose, it’s the fundamentals that keep us on track.

Life has a way of “forcing” your path at times and as we grow older, we all learn this. Some of us become bitter and negative and choose to accept self pity. Others remember that it all is for a “reason” if we allow it to be.

I appreciated reading your note today and it helped me remember to count my blessings…
